It was created during and directly after a study abroad trip, in the latter half of 2005. Sound sources were drawn from countless hours of field recordings harvested in Hiroshima, and from a stack of cheap vinyl purchased at a crusty thrift store in Phoenix, Arizona. On this release, MonoCulture veers away from IDM, into the genre of instrumental HipHop.
